I can recommend my method. I haven't tested it on copper, but it's the best for brass. Most likely, it will work on copper too. And it's a gentler method than scrubbing with an abrasive, even one as fine as GOI.

So: a spoonful of flour + a spoonful of salt, dilute with table vinegar to a paste. Coat the darkened areas with it, leave for a few minutes. Don't rub anything. Then just rinse with water and lightly rub with a rag until it's a K.U.K.Ya. state.:good:

Great question, but you can use any metal polish to clean copper and brass parts... I personally use Brasso, but most inexpensive ones should work fine.

Of course you can also use a different wire brush, if you clean the base you can scrub the hoses and clean the ports, plus a wire brush that fits the stem. I spray some lemon juice on the brush and scrub all the tubes, then rinse with water. For the outside I just wipe with a damp sponge.
