This Sherlock Holmes pipe is made from briar, with an expansive stummel that is hollowed in the same fashion and fitted with an unremovable cap. This Sherlock Holmes Calabash Pipe features a smooth honey-blond Calabash-shaped bowl carved from fine-grained briarwood. The rich golden wood grain has a satiny polished finish, showcasing flowing patterns across the voluptuous bowl. The rest of the stummel, save a short horn accent at the shank end, wears a gleamingly smooth caramel finish that provides an eye-catching contrast to the bowl’s coloration, with tight striations running across the flanks and up the shank and dense birdseye on the fore and aft aspects. It’s matched to a willowy saddle stem of hand-shaped vulcanite, balancing the piece and bending downward to support a comfortable smoking posture.
